Symbols and custom symbols
Opening the symbol library on the Single Line Diagram tab, building your own symbol from a selection, and deleting one you've added.
Three controls on the Single Line Diagram tab manage the symbol palette used by Generate SLD and by hand-drawing: opening the full library, turning a selection into a new reusable symbol, and deleting a symbol you've added.
Opening the symbol library
𧩠Open Symbol Libraryβ¦ opens a window showing a scrollable, 4-column grid of symbol thumbnails. Clicking a thumbnail arms it β the status line confirms which symbol is armed and prompts a click on the canvas. A click on the Single Line Diagram canvas then places it there.
Making a symbol from a selection
β Make Symbol from Selection β available both on the toolbar and inside the Symbol Library window β turns the currently selected drawn objects (line, rectangle, circle, polygon or text) into a new reusable symbol. The selection is flattened, centred and scaled uniformly into a standard-size box, then you're prompted for a name before it's saved into the library.
Deleting a custom symbol
π Delete Custom, inside the Symbol Library window, deletes the currently selected symbol β but only if it's one you saved or imported yourself. Selecting a built-in symbol and clicking π Delete Custom instead shows Click an imported symbol first, then Delete.
